PTA Board
Who We Are

Brook Cogan
President
I have a 2nd grader and an enthusiastic 2 year old Lewis volunteer.
I am endlessly impressed by the community at Lewis. The teachers, staff, students, parents, caregivers, grandparents, godparents, friends and neighbors are all actively involved in helping make Lewis an amazing school!
It is an honor to serve as the PTA president for the 2025-2026 school year!
Denise Castañon
Vice President
Denise Castañon is vice president of the Lewis PTA. Her son started at Lewis in the 3rd grade and is now a 5th grader. She also has an 8th grader at Sellwood. This year she hopes to work with the PTA board to bring more community-building events to Lewis. Denise is the editor of a local parenting magazine, and can often be found wearing overalls, drinking ice tea, and cooking, baking or reading.

Lindsay Agosta
Secretary
Lindsay grew up in California and has lived in Portland for the last 7 years. Her daughter is a 4th grader and her son is a Kindergartener at Lewis. She worked in advertising for 8 years and recently served as the board President at Kenilworth Community Preschool. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, attending concerts, walking her dog and taking adventures with her family.
Kristen Nellis
Treasurer
Kristen Nellis has lived in the Portland Metro area her whole life and is proud to be part of the Lewis community. She has a 2nd grader at Lewis. Professionally, Kristen works in the corporate world as an Operations Analyst. She enjoys spending time with her husband and son, reading, watching sports and mastering sudoku puzzles.

Jesse Martinez
Communications
Jesse Martinez moved to Portland and the Woodstock area in the summer of 2024 and has been blown away by this amazing community. A filmmaker by trade, Jesse spends most of his time chasing around his twin toddlers and playing with his 9 (and a half) year old.
Jesse loves crafting, fantasy books & games, musical theater, and movies. He is so excited to join the board as the communications chair.
Greg Kelly
Member at Large
Hello, my name is Greg Kelly and I am an adult ESL Instructor at Mount Hood Community College. I am originally from the U.K., and I have lived in Portland since 2010, becoming a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2023. I live just two blocks from the school, so my kids have been playing on the Lewis playground since before they could walk. Heading into the 2025/26 school year, my two boys will be in 1st grade and 3rd grade. We love the Lewis community, and I am excited to serve as the Member at Large for the PTA board.
