If you're a caregiver for a Lewis Elementary student, you belong in the Lewis PTA! You'll need to register and pay your membership dues (only $15!) each school year, so this includes new and returning members. For 2026-2027, you'll register and pay dues directly on this site, not on the Oregon PTA site as in past years. Sign up here!
As a legal non-profit entity, Lewis PTA does have some regular "business" that must happen involving the full general membership (e.g. voting on Board officers for the new year), but most everything else can be more casual. Our Community Meetings will reflect that belief with time to hear what's coming up and connect with staff and other parents. For 2026-2027, we're hosting five community meetings throughout the school year, each with refreshments and childcare provided. Add these dates to your home calendar!
We've taken a data-driven approach and a few core principles to reset how we direct resources into the Lewis Elementary community. Our budget (with actuals) will be available on the website for visibility, and you'll notice our fundraising and spending rolled up into four core themes:
Operations - keeps the PTA running in good standing
School and Staff - directly impacts PPS-directed resources or activities
Programs - generates continuous impact over time
Events - generates a one-time impact
For 2026-2027, the revised budget will be shared for the first Community Meeting and published online after that. Questions? Send a quick note to our President.
No one likes paper receipts, hand-written checks, and slow reimbursements. For 2026-2027, any authorized expenses will be submitted and reimbursed through our new digital platform, Ramp. Read more about Ramp and our expense policy.
